Quantum EVERYTHING-Embracing the Uncertain

Sun, 05/12/2013 - 14:49 -- Dr Jasmine Prad...

A mad couple of weeks since the launch of the new site. Two pieces in two shows - Japanese group EWACC and APT Creekside. Paul Noble at APT was an interesting curator; treating the space as 'a cave'. It works and the show is on for another two weeks should you find your way to Deptford. I finished the first pilot lectures on Creativity to my Engineers and realise it has barely scratched the surface. Lots to explore when I return in the Autumn during my Fellowship,

It would seem that public speaking on the creative process, and why it so important, is going to keep me busy for some time to come. Looking forward to working with Richard (Richard Chase Events). Love the idea of doing more of this in completely new arenas with new people as it will feed my work and open them up too. Win win:)

But now, blissfully I am busy planning my summer of making-I have missed it! More chaotic butterflies; cutting in metal; some text work in light; Frost patterns and how they relate to cyamtics....endless thoughts..and where to show this body of work........and more writing....much more writing

But what has occupied my alpha brain wave moments recently ( new found Twitter Love) is just how much the Quantum in everything is relevant right now.

That 'Uncertainty' factor has not only applied to my daily dealings where I am meeting soo many new, interesting people for collaboration, but also in recruiting. It appears people are much more likely to deal with you because of your potential rather than proven track record, so embrace change; quantum internet security; and when forming new business plans its best to leave things till the last minute if new information is appearing all the time (CERN).

Not only is there a real beauty to this embracing of uncertainty which is so central to Eastern philosophies and why I love Japanese art, but there is a resonance throughout

And as I have always suspected, creatives need to empty their diaries a bit more.....

off for a daydream....
