Works with machines
Installation 2006 Quantum mechanics deals in relatives rather than absolutes. Absolutes are Newtonian where points A and B exist and are measurable. The idea of ‘perfect lines’ but in Ultra Violet light, led me to build a Newton’s cradle with billiard balls. The kinetic motion of the balls, traces a fleeting line pattern onto the paint below; creation and destruction, finished piece or process?

My graduation piece, which was a room containing my notes, hypothesis, results and apparatus
Installation 2005.
Sponsored by London South Bank University and Dulux, I built a simple machine to explore the idea of ‘perfect lines’ using gravity with paint instead of a brush. Gravity is a constant and yet I could never produce the same lines or patterns, twice.
